NS SoftTech EMI Locker is a SaaS EMI device locker platform. When a retailer sells a phone on installments, the phone is linked to the customer's financing agreement. It works normally while EMIs are paid, can be restricted step by step if payments stay overdue, and is unlocked once the outstanding amount is cleared.
Does the customer agree to device restrictions?
Yes. Enrollment starts with customer consent. The customer reviews and accepts the financing terms, including the possibility of device restrictions, and the agreement, photo, signature and identification documents are stored with the record.
Can a customer remove the locker with a factory reset?
The Locker app is installed as the device owner through Android's supported provisioning process, and Factory Reset Protection can be configured during setup. This makes it much harder to bypass the financing arrangement with an ordinary factory reset.
How is a phone unlocked without internet?
An authorised operator can generate a temporary offline unlock code and share it with the customer. The code is valid only for a limited time. When the phone is online, Firebase Cloud Messaging can deliver the unlock command after payment is confirmed.
What is a key and how are keys distributed?
A key is a platform credit: one key enrolls one device. The Master mints keys and allocates them down the hierarchy through National Partners, Super Distributors and Distributors to Retailers. Unused keys can be reclaimed or surrendered, used keys cannot, and every transfer is recorded in a ledger.
Can an already-activated phone be enrolled without a reset?
Yes, for supported devices. The Device Activator command-line utility connects over USB/ADB and activates the phone without a factory reset, subject to device and configuration requirements.
Does EMI Locker support iPhones?
iPhone management through Apple MDM is an early-stage integration. Contact us to discuss your iOS requirements and current availability.
